At Mitsu Sato Hair Academy, we love to be an active part of the Kansas City area community — whether that be participating in the St Patrick’s Day Parade or donating 10% of all sales from services to KC’s Susan G Komen organization https://komenkansascity.org/.
We believe we all should give back to this amazing community. Over the next couple weeks, we will be spotlighting opportunities to volunteer. This week, here is information from The Salvation Army about how to help during the traditional Christmas meal for those in need.
The Salvation Army
Sunday, December 25th 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 101 W. Linwood, Kansas City, MO 64111
Help is needed in providing a traditional Christmas meal to our community on Christmas Day.
We need drivers to deliver meals, kitchen helpers, dishwashers, set-up helpers, pie cutters, silverware wrappers, drink makers, volunteers at sign-in tables and phones, greeters, gift table helpers, beverage servers, table servers, pie servers, table cleaners, trash pullers, dining room clean up help and kitchen clean up help.
No children under the age of 12 can work at the onsite meal. Children 12 years of age and above can work along side their parents at the meal.
Perhaps families with young children 11 and under would like to deliver meals to elderly people on Christmas Day.
You must have a letter to enter the build and volunteer. You must sign up ahead of time to volunteer. Volunteers will not be accepted the day of the event. http://salarmymokan.org/
