Applying for FAFSA – Your Gateway to Financial Aid

We encourage all prospective students to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please note that not all of our programs are eligible for Title IV financing. The FAFSA is an important step in determining your eligibility for federal financial aid programs, including low-interest loans, grants, and other opportunities. To fill out the FAFSA, you should:

Gather the necessary documents and information. This includes your social security number, federal income tax returns, and bank statements.
Visit the federal student aid website and create a login ID. This will allow you to save the application and come back to it later if you need to.
Fill out the FAFSA. Follow the prompts and provide accurate details about yourself and your finances.
Include your school choice. Overland Park’s school code is 042053.
Review and submit. Once you’ve submitted the FAFSA, you’ll get a confirmation email. Review this information, which may also estimate how much federal student aid you could receive.

Goverment Direct Student Loans. Low-interest loans are provided directly to students to help cover educational expenses.
Pell Grant Program. Need-based grants are awarded to eligible students that do not require repayment.
Government Direct Parent Plus Loans for Undergraduate Students. Loans are available to parents of dependent undergraduate students to support their education.

Scholarship Opportunities Available

In addition, students may be eligible for scholarships and grants through private organizations, such as the Beauty Changes Lives organization. This organization has provided millions in scholarships to aspiring students in the beauty industry, and it’s only one of many scholarship opportunities out there for beauty school students. Students can apply for multiple scholarships, and it’s often money that you don’t have to pay back. Scholarships are an excellent way to fund your education, and we encourage you to research the options available.
